A pause for summer

We’re pausing fieldwork for the summer, but will be back in autumn for more interviews.

In the meantime, we’re starting to analyse our data and will be delving into the rich stories we’ve collected from women in fishing families across both the UK and Newfoundland.

This is a time consuming but exciting part of the research process and early findings are already beginning to emerge.

We also wanted to take this opportunity to say “Thank you!” to each of our amazing participants. The insights they have provided are proving invaluable and in some cases, unexpected.

While we have our heads buried in the data, things might be quiet for a few months. But we’ll share the outcomes of our initial analysis as soon as possible.

We’re still looking for participants for when we resume data collection later in the year. If you are interested in taking part, please get in touch with me (Madeleine Gustavsson) at m.c.gustavsson@exeter.ac.uk.
